All of us carry emotional luggage. When it gets overwhelmingly heavy, what do you do?
How do you play? How do you reconnect to your joy?
Whether you’re a seasoned symphonic audiophile or a teenager who’s just discovered Billie Eilish, the music you love - the music you play - is your most powerful pathway from grief through growth to joy.
In fact, it’s your most powerful pathway from wherever you are in the journey of your life to wherever your next destination may be.
Are you ready to tell the next part of your story with power, not force? How will the music you love connect you more deeply to that invitation, guide you on the journey, and greet you at every waypoint you reach?
Music gives us a safe, healing experience of our deepest emotions – an experience that invites us to lay down our baggage and empower our life passage with skillful soundscapes. The question is: how will the music you love help you tell the great story of your life - a story of strength, wisdom, joy, and deep insight?
Now, for the very first time, you have access to the combined wisdom of ancient tradition and modern science in a simple, effective, life-transformative musical toolkit.
There are some amazing no-cost tools available to you at the Music Care website, including this Free Guide to Authentic Resilience with Music, that you can use to turn any tough situation into an opportunity for authentic connection and transformative belonging. Or you could take passage on a Quest that will change your life forever.
* * * * * * * * * *
Like a ringing bell, this Quest offers you tools you can easily learn to apply with skill, supported by scientific evidence and holistic, self-evident self-care, to fundamentally change the nature of your life journey forever and for good.
The music you love can be used in everyday rituals to master grief, support rapid change, transform distress, depression, and anxiety, and more. Skillful integration of your journey with the mechanics that power your music opens up your potential for self-awareness, self-actualization, and transcendence. This Quest teaches you how to embody and use that power with skill.
You are about to begin the Quest of your lifetime....but in all honesty the heroic journey is never easy, and of the few who choose to attempt it, many will never complete it. The promise to passengers on that journey is that everything can change for good, even as old wounds are uncovered and light shines into their interior shadows – shadows that appear frightening at first but add richness as they reveal their purpose and meaning.
Here's the challenge. Ask yourself: do I have the courage to explore those shadows, learn from them, and accept the invitations I will encounter along my path? How deeply can my music carry me along, into, and through this journey?
What promises have I made to myself that I need to keep? How can I tap into joy more deeply, more consistently, more authentically?
Yes: you will find the Quest is difficult, but that it’s also fun, inspiring, and healing.
As you enjoy this active learning experience you will find it resonates far more powerfully than one-way video or a fancy slide deck. You will respond naturally to the power of game-inspired self discovery, interact with your Quest mentor and other Questers, and build effective, purpose-driven ceremonies for both the most difficult and the most sublime paradoxical moments of your life. Your challenge is simply to allow and enjoy your ride, and to share your stronger skills with others in your family or your business.

What's a music rite?
You will learn about how music has always been available to us as a tool, and the power of using musical tools in purposeful, almost ceremonial ways. This background will also introduce the language of music care. You will begin to identify the ritual-ready moments of your life.
This second "preparation" Level is about the things you'll need on hand to perform an effective music rite. In this Level, you'll assemble that gear and create a personal space for practicing its use.
Your first of three "build" Levels. Creating effective music rites begins with deepening your internal awareness of and connection to your emotions. You will do that here...as if you were creating a strategic approach to the rest of your life. Here's a secret: you are.
This Level reveals the tools you need to accurately discover the emotions in the music you already love. Think you can do that well now? Just wait until you learn and use this tactical approach to the hidden emotional power of music.
It takes strategy, tactics, and ammunition to win a military campaign. In this level, you will learn how to make your own customized ammo. No worries: this military metaphor isn't about making war; it's about the fuel that powers your music ritual and how to use that fuel for good.
Locked and Loaded
The most important Level in the Quest: everything you've learned so far comes together in one powerful playlist, and you make your very first musical rite around it.
Before you can try your new skills in the wild, its important that you can find the powerful place called "neutral." Using your new skills, you will identify your own personal "neutral" and begin to practice ways of returning to it at will. Don't worry: there's a rite for this, too.
Into the Wild
You've had time to practice, but now is the time to try out your new skills in real life. Your first solo rite. This Level can be daunting for introverts, or hard to control for extroverts, but you're ready. You may be surprised at how far you've grown...and at how many more rites you need to make.
The Wild can be brutal. This Level will help you keep your balance out there. You will learn to make several new kinds of music rites that take you to back to neutral. This is great practice for the net and final Level.
Your Own Personal Music Rites
In this final Level, you will learn how to extend your new skills across the entire spectrum of your power. Most importantly, as you do this, you will find your trust in music rite deepening, and beginning to connect you more authentically with the other important parts of your being. It's very Zen!

"I confronted my fear of cancer treatment radiation; initially with the Serenity Prayer and meditation. Then it dawned on me: I am seeking serenity. Bill gave me his 'Serenity' CD. The radiation techs played it for me. While the beams radiated, the piano sedated. The power of music! I left Protzmann’s CD for future patients."
